Quiz Builder

Open Dermaself → Quiz Builder. This is where you configure the quiz shoppers see in the widget. Changes apply to the live widget as soon as you click Save changes: nothing needs republishing.

On the right there is a Live preview. Reload preview refreshes it.

Questions

Consent, gender, and age are required and always come first: they carry the Required by Dermaself badge. The analysis needs them, so they cannot be deleted.

Below them, add your own questions:

  1. Click Add question.
  2. Write the Question text.
  3. Choose the Type:
    • Multiple choice — options with a label and a value.
    • Image choice — as above, with an image per option.
    • Slider — with Min, Max, and a Default value.
    • Text — a free-text or informational step, no options.
  4. Add options with Add option; in image choice each option has its own Icon. Tick Required if shoppers must answer.
  5. Optionally set the question’s Background: a colour or a Background image from the media library.
  6. Reorder with the ↑ ↓ arrows. Delete removes the question.

The questions you write here are the base text. Versions in other languages go in Customization → Translations.

Quiz settings

  • Show progress bar
  • Allow skipping questions
  • Include non-binary gender option
  • Privacy policy URL — your store’s policy, shown in the consent step.

The Widget active box at the top must stay ticked for the quiz to be active.

Result page

  • Enable result page — the screen after the analysis.
  • Show product recommendations — the routines with your products.
  • Redirect URL (optional) — leave blank to show results in the widget.
  • Max recommended products (1–5) — or Auto.

Contact step

You need it to collect contacts for Klaviyo or Mailchimp.

  1. Tick Ask for contact details. The quiz asks for email and first name, with explicit marketing consent.
  2. Position in the quiz — the step number; blank means Last step.
  3. Marketing privacy policy URL — your store’s policy.
  4. Optional: Background colour and Background image URL.
  5. Save changes.

Only contacts who consent are sent to the connected list. Without consent nothing is sent, and the Skin Test still works.
