Where do I start?
With Install and set up, then Add the Skin Test to your theme.
The Skin Test shows none of my products
Check, in this order:
- on Product Category Mapping, your products have a module and you clicked Save;
- on Field Mapping, you clicked Save mappings at least once: without this save the catalog is not synced;
- the Sync status banner on Field Mapping shows Completed.

What does Dermaself do?
It adds a Skin Test to your storefront. Shoppers answer a quiz and take a selfie: the AI analyzes the skin from the photo, the quiz answers personalize the routine, and the products come from your mapped catalog.
Do I have to pick a plan when I install?
No. Every shop starts on Free (25 analyses a month). You can change plan any time from Subscription.
I installed the app on the wrong store. What do I do?
If your account can access several stores, Shopify installs the app on the store selected in the store picker. Uninstall it from the wrong store (Settings → Apps and sales channels), then install it again from the App Store listing with the right store selected.
A staff member cannot install the app
Shopify shows “You need permission to install …” and asks for access to Discounts. The account needs permission to install apps and the Discounts permission, because the app uses discounts for the recommended discount. The store owner can install the app or grant these permissions in Settings → Users.
The Skin Test button does not show on my store
- Check that Skin Test loader is on in the theme editor → App embeds, and that you saved the theme.
- Check that Show floating Skin Test button is on in the loader settings, or that you added a Skin Test button block.
- Check that the Skin Test is published (Publish in the app).

I see two Skin Test buttons
The floating button and a Skin Test button block are both on. If you keep the block, turn off Show floating Skin Test button in the loader settings. Keep the loader itself on.
How do I translate the button label?
The label is a single text in the theme editor. Translate it for each store language with Shopify’s Translate & Adapt app. See Add the Skin Test to your theme.
What happens when Free reaches 25 analyses?
The Skin Test pauses on your storefront (shoppers see it as unavailable) until next month. Move to Start or Pro to resume it right away. There are no extra analyses on Free.
How are extra analyses billed on Start and Pro?
The Skin Test keeps running after the included analyses. Extra analyses are billed in arrears on your Shopify bill, with graduated prices: each tier price applies only to the analyses inside that tier. See the example in Plans and usage.
What counts as an analysis?
A completed analysis, counted once per Skin Test session. Failed analyses do not count.
How do I change plan?
Open Subscription, click the plan you want, and confirm on the Shopify plan page that opens. Enterprise: click Contact us.
What is included on every plan?
PDF reports, product recommendations, and the Klaviyo and Mailchimp integrations. The Quiz Builder and Advanced Analytics start from Start.
Can I remove the Dermaself branding?
“Powered by Dermaself” is removed only on Enterprise (white label). Email support@dermaself.it.
Do you have Shopify Flow, GA, Meta Pixel, Zapier?
No. The email integrations are Klaviyo and Mailchimp.
Is the Skin Test a medical diagnosis?
No.
