Catalog sync

Open Field Mapping (page title: Map Shopify Fields to Dermaself). This is where you tell the app where composition and other matching fields live in metafields.

Steps

  1. Open Field Mapping.
  2. For each row, decide whether to Import that field.
  3. Connect Shopify field (title, INCI metafield, description, …) to the Dermaself field.
  4. Check Preview on the right: empty means that metafield is not filled on the product.
  5. Run sync. The app normalizes ingredients against COSING and scores product × skin.

What to map first

  • INCI / ingredients — required for serious matching.
  • Title and image if they do not already come from the Shopify product.
  • Claims or family only if the engine uses them.

If INCI is missing or lives in an unmapped metafield, that product matches weakly (or not at all).

When to re-run

  • You mapped new products in Product Category Mapping.
  • You bulk-corrected INCI in the catalog.
  • You changed the destination metafield.
