Recommended discount

Open Recommended Discount. You can create a code that discounts only cart lines that came from Dermaself recommendations. Everything else stays full price.

Steps

  1. Open Recommended Discount.
  2. Turn on Enable the recommended discount code.
  3. Set Discount code — letters and numbers; this is what shoppers see at checkout.
  4. Set Discount percentage from 1 to 100.
  5. Save discount. Status becomes Active.

The Discount Function is already deployed on the public app. You need the write_discounts scope (already in install). If you just added the scope on a custom app, update/reinstall first.

What happens on the storefront

The widget can auto-apply the code at checkout on recommended lines only. If Shopify deleted or deactivated the discount, save again with the toggle on to recreate it.

This is not a whole-catalog discount: a product added to the cart by hand is not discounted by this code.
